The process is NOW IN MOTION to change the names of ALL NINE targeted schools.

There is much more at stake here than signage and uniforms and mascots. 
If you say nothing and do nothing, the names will be changed and the history of our great schools will be diminished and tarnished. You can access the dates and times of meetings specific to YOUR school by clicking HERE. That web page also has details on the steps in the process.
Educate yourselves and help us take action! Attend the community meetings and take your turn at the microphone to protest this shameless publicity grab by the Duval County School Board, which is allowing social and political currents to distract them from the real, meaningful, life-impacting work they were elected to do.

• Feb. 24, 2021     – 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the Auditorium

• March 4, 2021    – 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the Auditorium

• March 15, 2021  – 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the Auditorium

• March 23, 2021  – 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the Auditorium

• March 25, 2021  – 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the Auditorium

SAC Meeting to determine Ballot:

• April 5th @ 6 pm in the Media Center

   Stakeholder Balloting** 

  • April 26th - April 30th, 2021

  • May 3rd - May 7th, 2021



   SAC Members Cast Individual Votes:

  • May 10th @ 6 pm in the Media Center


  • Robert E. Lee student or graduate;

  • Current faculty or staff member  of the school;

  • Current resident of School District 6

  • Member of PTSA

  • Member of School Advisory Council

You may cast a separate vote for EACH category you fall into.

Please understand that displaying angry words, behavior and wearing clothing with inflammatory slogans will not help the efforts of either the supporters or the opponents of this name change effort and may result in your being removed from the meeting.     

We ask that you conduct yourselves as reasonable adults to make yourselves 

heard in a way that can make a difference.
